Solar cycle 24 (solar flares, sun spots) began in 2005 and threatens to become so strong by 2012 that it could burn out power plants, disrupt and prevent communications all around the world, burn crops and forests, boil the oceans, and cause storms, earthquakes, etc. (sorry for the slightly bad news). Knowing this, it would be wise to know about alternative means of power generation, how to obtain clean water, etc.

Yellow Stone Park has a "supervolcano" waiting to erupt also, so being prepared for hard times (understatement) is necessary even if "solarmax" doesn't kill us.

Camping equipment suppliers will most likely be the first to offer any new technogy for survival (of course at a high cost,...$360.00 for this cooler).

About This Video ("Free energy rod")

Very simple free energy using Aluminum, paper and steel wire

All it consists of is:

1. Copper pipe (or aluminum, but copper works better)
2. Paper -as insulator
3. Steel wire- 16 gauge (the thicker the better) galvanized is OK. wrapped as tight as possible.

you can cover it with tape if you want- it only serves to help keep the wire on tight, but has no other function.

The pipe is the (+) the wire is the (-)

That's it! It seems to work because of a principle that when 2 different metals are very close to each other, but not touching, they throw off electrons.

Could be acting like a battery, not sure.
I think it's due to the dissimilar metals in close contact.

The voltage increases in the sunlight, maybe due to heat. it's insulated with shipping tape, so I don't think it's moisture/humidity doing it. (less)

About This Video

The best physics lectures at

http://www.FreeScienceLectures.com

The best physics lecturer Walter Lewin makes another wonderful physics demonstration after having read a lecture on batteries.

The battery he creates has a huge potential difference - 10 to 20 kV!

You'll never believe what it's made of!
It's made of two cans with bottom and top open and two other cans. And then water is let to drip through the two open ones.

After a short period a spark comes up, then another one, then another one.

Do you know how it works? If not, see the free electricity and magnetism video course by Walter Lewin at MIT's OCW!

Probably the best location for an earth battery is near a waterfall.

This is a Sterling Engine.

All the homopolar motors I've seen were fast, but this one seems to be slowed down because it's in a STEEL VISE (the steel drains energy, both magnetic and electrical).

About This Video

Este es el primer motor homopolar que arme rapidamente, con un iman, una bateria y un poco de alambre, ya probare algo mejor. Eduardo

Stirling engines are powered by heat sources and need to be cooled.

So many of the videos about Stirling Engines don't have voice for the particular reason that people don't want to EXPLAIN their experiments (they just want to be known for them). This one shows the design of a two piston engine one cylinder has the cold vaccumm while the other has the hot expansion chamber). Apparently, for any full understanding of the author's experiments (further explanation), you have to contact him (for money?).

This video shows a stirling engine that was built for power and speed, but stirling engines can also be small and run off of ambient heat given off from a radiator. I don't see any cooling equipment, so maybe large stirling engines that use intense heat don't need cooling (I don't know).

In concept, the stirling engine is simple, but it is not the preferred method for offering the world energy becase the energy would be FREE.

The Fresnel lens is a specially cut magnifying lens that was used in lighthouses to focus an intense beam of light long distance. They are expensive because of the special cut, but an ordinary pocket magnifying glass can also focus a beam of sunlight to make a temperature high enough to burn wood.
(Fresnel lens are expensive, but Edmund Scientific has one for about $39).

Mr. Philhour's tin can Stirling Engine.

About This Video

I (Mr. Philhour) built this as part of a class project for Honors Physics at St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco, CA.

It runs on a single tea-candle. (The foam about the top is residue soap-film from previous air leak testing.)

I took the video with my digital camera, so there is no sound.

This is a "Lamina Flow Stirling Engine".

About This Video

This amazingly simple engine runs at 700rpm heated only by a small candle. Powered by an alcohol burner the Lamina Flow engine quickly accelerates up to ~ 1000rpm.

This is the "Fluidyne" liquid piston stirling engine. The fluid (plain water) on the right side serves as the displacer piston and the fluid on the left side (also plain water) serves as the power piston.

About This Video (about 3 minutes)

Stanley Meyer and many others. Always the same story. The Pentagon wants to see your idea and tell you how they would like to use your invention. You demonstrate your device proving to them that it works, then they block all of your efforts and end up killing you. The only way to get a free energy device out to the public is to foget about patents, distribute underground, sell it to EV enthusiests with the plans and encourage them to travel around and do as you are, you then have created a non interlinked underground distribution system that will spread to the general populous and it will spread like wild fire, it will be un-stoppable.
