cascara sagrada alone is not recommended. the barefoot version of dr christophers lower bowel balance has a lot of olive leaf in it. it is a really good formula that works. i experienced no negative side effects with it. i was also taking mrs barefoot and some of the bone, flesh and cartilage during part of this time.
