I would take more than 250 mg if you have a deficiency that might be causing those symptoms. Extra magnesium is very rarely problematic.

The RDA is about 300 mg. If it were me and I were evincing those symptoms, I'd be taking at least 750 mg, plus doing regular Epsom Salt foot baths.
