I think Andy has seen some bad long-term effects from chlorella in people who were mercury toxic. I personally like chlorella and felt better using it, but recently discarded it and have been using an assortment of vitamins that make me feel as well or better without the risk of depending on something with thiol groups.
Btw, I agree with your sentiments on the original post. What attracted me to Cutler's protocol was the amount of thoughtful Science behind it.
At the same time, I can understand what the original poster means. That person got much better from using Andy's protocol, and some of the other methods out there are terrible. Even Mercola, who I used to have some respect for, supports DMPS injections:
