Jen, if you are planning on feasting on Dec 14, you should definitely plan on gradually ending your fast several days prior to that date. Otherwise, the consequences could be quite unpleasant.

And isn't it amazing how friends and family always know better what's best for our bodies than we do? I can't tell you how many people, friends and clients, have told me of the same disapproving thing you experienced from your friends and family.
