I will have to agree with your assesment on a cure vs relief. Sadly, two months ago I had a crazy idea of letting my hair grow back. I would have to say I let it grow for 5 weeks. Unfortunatly, I broke back out and started getting bloody pillows again. It was very upsetting but like I said before could be much worse lot in life. So I shaved my head again and started cleansing with my topicals and my head is starting to clear up again.

So maybe the term cure does not apply but at least my pillow cases are safe!!! Oddly enough though my face has presented an inseresting challenge. The shaving does not seem to do the trick like my head the stuff kinda sort of stays under control you can just faintly tell something is not right. My doctor gave me bad news my last visit that scarring has started on my face mostly my neck (not good). I might have to try Rot's approach but alcohol really dries my skin something fierce. As a kid I had very bad Acne and those oxy pad things would mess me up..

Now on this same note I can share something very odd with everyone. I really don't understand it or know how to even disect this. My company sent me away to the west coast for training a little while back. I did not pack any of my treatments as to travel light and it was only a week. An odd thing happened while out west though. My face cleared up and by the end off the week it almost looked cured.. Here I will say cured because all the redness and bumps were almost gone. After coming back to the east coast within a week the barely noticable spots were flared back up again.

So maybe relief is the cure in our case idk.
