Hi George. Thanks for your good work here.

I've got a tough one for you. I've got a 11 year old daughter. She's a normal, healthy kid in almost every way. However for the past year and a half she's been having visual disturbances. These happen once or twice a month and she describes it like a window shade being drawn down over her eyes for a couple seconds -- and then quickly goes away. This temporarily blinds her for the 2 or 3 seconds the "shade is down." We've been to countless numbers of doctors and have found nothing. Brainscan -- nothing. Eye doctor -- nothing. Blood tests -- nothing. Her heart seems fine according to pediatrician...Blood pressure is ok too.

Like I said it happens a couple times a month on average, and it when it does happen she does not feel light-headed or dizzy at all...so it's not like a fainting spell. It's just a visual thing. Of course this is disturbing to us, and we're just dumb-founded as to what it could be. I've searched the web till I'm blue in the face and I can come up with nothing that matches her 1 symptom.

Strangely, the receptionist at the doctor's office said her daughter has had the same thing for 18 years! (what are the odds?)...and they, too never figured out what it was. Any ideas? Thanks, Super

p.s. Do you think even though her blood tests came back normal that it could have something to do with fluctuating blood-sugar levels?
