It is my understanding that there are two reasons for taking niacin. It will lower cholestoral, and it will expand the capillaries to their full potential and improve circulation to the skin. If you only want to lower cholesterol, get the no flush kind. But if you want to improve circulation to your skin, you want the kind that flushes, because that's what happens when the capillaries open. The flush feels good. Enjoy it. Get in a bath rub of warm water and Epsom Salts and brush your skin with a natural bristle brush. If the flush lasts longer than you'd like it to, lower the dose a little bit.
