Hi I'm 21 and in college but this issue is really interesting to me and I'm studying adolescent angst in school.
Well, I was one of those crazy 15 year olds just a few years ago and I just wanted to let you know that, it gets better. I was horrible, my mom sent me away to live with my aunt for 6 months. I was threatening suicide, always depressed, and just moody as ever. My grades dropped, I started doing drugs at about 16 and sneaking out, going to all-night raves.
It wasn't until I was 17 that I turned around. I saw all my friends planning for college and such and it snapped me into wondering.."what the f*** am I going to do with my life when high school is over?" I didn't care if I live or died and all of a sudden, I started to care about a hell of a lot!
Unfortunately, this type of angst is VERY COMMON now a days. Try watching that movie, "Thirteen" with Holly Hunter.
I suggest you read this book, "Reviving Ophelia" by Dr. Mary Pipher...it covers all these issues and could be a lot of help.
But don't worry, this stage shall too end...
read the book, I promise, it'll help.
