Hi, all!

Several years ago I inadvertently threw off my sodium/potassium balnce in favor
of potassium. This happened because of all the media hype about sodium being
dangerous, especially if one is overweight.

In addition, my peersonal physician told me to watch salt as she felt that I
might get high blood pressure if I did not. This without checking my medical
history for blood pressure, which has always ranged from low normnal to high
normal except for brief periods. I believe that it was the one size fits all
handout that she gave me as I left the office that suggested using potassium
chloride for salt substitute. I started using it. Due to candida probs, got very
little fres seasonal local produce.Over the years, I became more and more cold
sensitive, until this was a serious problem even in a mild climate.

Prior to using the salt substitute, I was very cold-resistant. Rode motorcycle
all year round, cross country skier, surfed in 55-58 F water for over an hour
without a wetsuit, all with no problem. After several years of too much
potassium, had trouble swimming in a heated pool! Could only do so if used a hot
tub or sauna before and after! Finnally ended up intolerant to any lenth of time
spent at any temp under 80 F.

Moreless was the one who informed me of the connection between sodium/potassium
balance and cold sensitivity. I have been including baking soda in some of my
detox baths and eating lots of locally grown seasonal fruits and veg. The cold
sensitivity is much better, say 80-90% improved over 4 moths or so. I believe
grz says it took him about the same length of time for using ML's ideas to help
cold sensitivity.

Thanks Moreless, Grz and other posters on this topic!
