I'll try and keep this as short as possible. Prior to this I have never had this kind of pain in hip before. I've always been able to walk, climb, run with no problems. Ocassionally a little stiffness in hip and knees but never a big deal. Two weeks ago I took a temporary seasonal job with UPS as a drivers helper. The job simply entailed running packages from the truck up to the front door of homes. Literally hundreds of times a day. The steps on the truck are not spaced out properly so it was always a little awkward getting in and out. After doing this for a little over a week with no problems I started to get some pain in my right hip which I really didn't think much of. As the day progressed it became much worse to the point that I was limping up to doors in pain to drop off packages. By the end of the day I had severe pain in hip and literally needed the aid of a crutch or cane to walk. Putting weight on that leg would hurt like hell. Very sharp pain that I would imagine a pinched nerve would feel like. It has been a week now with really no improvement and I'm starting to get a little discouraged. I have tried to stay off my feet as much as possible. I haven't seen a Doc because I hace no insurance and quite frankly I know they would just take an X ray and give anti inflammatory med without addressing the problem. I guess my question is does this sound like bursitis?? It seems too much of a coincidence that this would happen after doing a repetetive type motion like climbing in and out of truck and running up front steps hundreds of times a day. I'm going to start trying some exercises that people swear by hoping that will help me turn the corner. Any feedback or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays to all!!
