Once when the switch on my distiller broke, I drank some regular tap water at work. After two years on distilled water, the chemical taste of the tap water made me very nauseous.

Spring water is full of minerals, some water is healthy, much of it is not. With so much pollution in our air and land surface, many contaminants can wind up in springs and wells. Our local Extension Service warns people to test their springs and wells for giardia and other parasites regularly.

You will soon get used to the clean, pure taste of good quality distilled water and you will find nothing else really satisfies. Drinking distilled water helped me control my Coke and Dr. Pepper habit. The bad tasting tap water just helped me justify drinking sodas. The thirst quenching distilled water is what I crave now when I am thirsty. Chemical laden fluids do not satisfy anymore.
