That is a much better quote, and I just hope that this isn't too "deep" for all the thinkers here!!
If there is no God, as atheists believe, then who is qualified to rule? What is good, right, and beneficial to the human race? Is everyone equal?
Not one atheist can point to a culture that exemplifies their belief in a world without God. So the obvious conclusion is NO DIFFERENT than in times past. A form of elevated man (the technocrat, the new philosopher, the neo-mystic, the true humanist) along with a man-power (a military of some sort with technological ability) will attempt to FORCE everyone else to comply.
If goodness needs to be imposed on another, can it really be good? If a 'decided upon' form of goodness is derived, what purpose does it serve if it isn't forced?
In God's Kingdom of righteousness, only the redeemed soul shall find happiness and peace and gracefully he is given daily opportunities to seek Him, to ask forgiveness, to understand what life in the spirit means, etc. The cross you carry daily is not just an ever growing consciousness of your guilt, but the reproach you will encounter as people will try to coax you away from Christ and get you to feel better about yourself.
All things truly noble are difficult to attain.
