I have had mild headaches on fasts before, nothing compared to the migraines I often have while eating processed foods. They also aren't anywhere near as persistent as a rule. Headaches are not uncommon while fasting. It could also have something to do with the vitamin tablets, when you add something like that to a fast, it isn't technically a fast anymore, and the normal rules just may not apply.
