I think this is a very intersting word---autoimmune.

I think it relates directly to imbalance and is correctable. I think it must be approached very very carefully. For example, autoimmune thyroid conditions will usually get worse when Iodine is taken because the thyroid is not working properly and can't correctly synthesize the iodide.

In autoimmune thyroid conditions, I don't think the thyroid is to blame at all...I think the pituitary malfunctions.
