I have had hsv2 for 2 months now and I've been taking olive leaf for a little over a month. Before I started taking it, ok my first outbreak was like a week long because I was taking acyclovir. Then my second ob starting like a week after the first cleared up. But also I started my period, so that might of triggered it. This time the ob lated 3 and a half weeks because I didn't take no medicine. This ob was the worse, I had 6 or 7 sores in my genital area and they hurted really bad, when I walked, sat down, etc. And they didn't looked like that wasn't going away. I went to the doctor and was given some more acyclovir. That's when I purchased the olive leaf extract and I was desperate and started taking both together. My sores went away that same week. So I didn't know which one was working or did both contribute to the healing? After my ob was gone that time, I continued to take the olive leaf extract. But I got my period again and another ob, but this time it wasn't as bad, I only got 2 sores and it wasn't as big as the other ones or painful. So that gave me hope that these pills was working. They are 150 mg and has 20% oleuropein. The bottle tells me to take 1 pill a day. But I started with 2 3x a day, then I increased it to 3 3x a day, then recently I started taking 4 3x a day. Then I started only taking 4 2x a day because I had really bad headaches. So how many should I take a day? I also have questions does olive leaf extract really kill the hvs2 virus or does it just eliminate the outbreaks? Since I haven't had it that long, will it kill the virus in a short time (if it don't kill it in a short time, I will continue to take it until whenever). My last question, have there been a case where somebody was taking ol and was cured, not of outbreaks but the virus. I mean actually went to the doctor and positive and then tested negative? Thank You.
