I would much rather read articles, studies, etc related to iodine than someone's opinion on it.  Matter of fact, I rarely take advice from someone who cannot back their opinion with documented evidence.  So your 'original thought' paragraph was a nasty shot at folks who are providing what many consider a valuable service by presenting information I am admittedly too lazy to spend hours digging up for myself.  I especially have appreciated the way Wombat links related articles in one post, it takes her a lot of time to do and has helped many.

As for the personality crap, sheesh, ignore it, stay out of there, etc.  I take the good, leave the bad and am all the better for it.  There are a number of owner forums on here where the owners have personalities or beliefs I do not agree with, but there is still much good info to glean from them.  Like anywhere in life, you choose what sticks to you and what falls off.  If you really believe your computer is vulnerable to this site and evil doers then get the heck off.
