Sheldon, I am pleased to say i have no symptoms of ulcerative collitis whatsoever appart from tiredness and headaches - which I believe aren't helped by the medication - and since gradually weaning my dose down as i am at the moment - am actually starting to feel better in myself! :)

The other thing though is with the diet i have stuck to it 100% apart from i have been eating wholegrain brown rice cakes on the diet - a fair amount each day at the same time as i have the vegetables. i chew all food really well and these rice cakes seem to cause absolutely no change in stool form. i am wondering do you think some how these are bad for me though? I stopped eating them for a week and there was absolutely no noticable change in stool form or frequency.

Please advice. PS. thanks for all your time and support - you really are a godsend!
