that's part of it, but it also depends on your genetic code

a friend of mine who does cancer research explained it to me like this
he said they have been studying these cells that they call p-450 cells
they are like light switches that respond to certain chemicals

when certain chemicals flow through your system and hit the p-450 cells, it's like the light switch gets turned on, your enzymes begin to flow, the electrical current in your body gets turned on, or something like that

there are many different kind of p-450 cells, and they all respond to different chemicals

everybody has a different set of p-450 cells

if you don't have "the right" p-450 cells to respond to the chemicals in a certain herb, and you take that herb, your body won't respond to it, it's just like taking fiber

that is why herbal blends tend to work better than single herbs, it's a shotgun approach
