Thanks Norris6 your story was very helpful. I am not sure what supplements are avoid but I am sure I will find out. Funny how everywhere I look and even my Obgyn told me to do a low carb diet (not necessarily as strict as Atkins) so maybe this is the way to go as I am pre diabetic as well. I feel better when I eat meat I dont get as hungry or other symptoms related to sugar. I still eat fruits and veggies quite a bit but I limit the starches.
