You are right. Thanks for pointing out my inconsistency. What I meant to say is that "Every human brain needs the nourishment that only a psychotropic substance can provide."

If I had to do it over, I would stick with peyote and mushrooms, and get my psychotropic nutrition naturally. I wouldn't even take pure mescaline. I discussed this with a Souix Shaman, asked him why they didn't give people mescaline, without the quinine. He said the quinine is what purifies the body. Without purifying the body, you cannot achieve balance. I certainly did my share of mescaline without the quinine. And I've certainly made up for it by cleansing with bloodroot, which purifies the body without any sense of elation.
