I'm inclined to first see a clockwise (right-handed) spin, but after fatigue sets in and I blink my eyes (interrupt focus), I might see a counterclockwise rotation (it probably changes my depth perception, notice the image goes up and down). I identify more with the qualities of the left brain (objective, right brain is SUBJECTIVE/creative).
Sinistrality is not the art or obsession of being sinister (as far as superstition, that probably is the meaning), sinistrality is lefthandedness. It seems to still have a stygma because many people need to find a reason to think that they are better than the other person. Scientist don't know the reason why some people are left-handeded while most people are right-handed. Some speculation is that the DNA helix is right-handed (clockwise), some speculation is that it might have to do with the Coriolis force (the force that makes water spin down a drain according to the hemisphere that you're in) during birth.
(I'm right handed).
Left-handed people suffer mostly from being constantly reminded that they must compensate for being left handed and that the right-handed world does not usually/automatically accomodate them, other than that, some stygma still exists (whether imagined or real). They do have problems with writing and manual dexterity with some tools (scissors, etc.) but are more creative.
This video shows special pens made because our written language is written left to right.

It was very interesting to see the rotation change (probably common).
