I use bowel herbs, lower bowel balance or dr schulze intestinal formula 1, both work very well for me. you can make the formula yourself to save money, or get premade from probably many places on line...I make my own, so I haved searched for where to buy them. if you'd like the formula, let me know. I also use magnesium citrate powder (natural calm) sometimes, and this I find gentle but effective too. I have all on hand and just take what I feel I need each day.

another option that probably would work alright, would be to just get a herbal laxative tea from the health store.

I've tried Oxypowder , but didn't like it much, Epsom Salts are too harsh for me too.
