Magnesium Citrate is a little better absorbed by the body than magnesium oxide, but both make good supplements when taken in moderate amounts and good laxatives when used at heavier doses. I am another person who believes in using transdermal therapy with magnesium chloride. Because of the weakness in my legs and lack of balance I cannot take tub baths (something I miss terribly). However I get good results from rubbing magnesium oil on warm moist skin. Magnesium oil can also be used in foot baths.

I believe you discovered an excellent way to ease swelling, bloating, mild constipation and, incidentally, gall bladder pain. I have used mag. oxide and vitamin C taken just to bowel tolerance for a long time. I like the way you spaced out the dosing, I would imagine that would allow your body to absorb more of the mineral and possibly prevent explosive diarrhea. I think I will experiment with that my self, since I am also one of those who has to "go" several times during the night. Thank you for a helpful post, I get such good ideas from my fellow Curezoners.
