Hi Captain,
My 23 year old daughter just returned from Kabul, AF in June, and found out that all of the soldiers that were there qualify to receive a 10-20% monthly disability check for the rest of their lives for the pollution. One of her Capt's told us that they had been exposed to uranium that had been on explosives as well.

I'm an internet "pen-pal" with one of Rangers that are based in Afghanistan in the mountains, and the conditions are astounding. On
http://www.anysoldier.com,
you can read what requests our military have for things we too easily take for granted. I was asking this Army, Airborne Ranger what they were going to do for showers in the winter- he is living in a tent at a high elevation...they have been bathing in a river, or as a medic he said one of their jobs is to treat the river water for them to shower with. The local Afghan's are washing their clothes for them in the river.
Some of the soldiers are living in horse stables, just for an example.

I told him that I was headed to my nice, hot, clean shower that I would never, ever again take for granted! I can't imagine the winter conditions these soldiers are facing.

He is from a ranching family on the coast of Texas- they got 33 inches of rain in July, so it's swampy country. As I said, he's a medic, but also a biology major. I asked him if he knew that humans can get liver flukes like the animals can, and he was surprised, he didn't know that. I just wonder what they are getting exposed to in the river water?

I'm thankful you made it home safely, and wish you the best in getting your health back! I'm glad you found Curezone, it's been a huge help to me.
