Hi BetterRed, I can't answer for the Oxypowder folks, but facts are facts.

Hirschprung's also goes by the name ideopathic megacolon. Ideopathic meaning that there is no known specific cause, and megacolon because of the swelling of the colon seen in Barium enema X-rays of a child with this condition. Severe cases during infancy can be fatal if not treated immediately.
