Have you tried oil pulling any? I have started back up again (ran out of my oil) and it made a huge difference in the way I was feeling. I had horrible metal mouth and as soon as I oil pulled it was gone and only came back when I took my next dose of iodine. This was detox, not overload. I got this when I fasted so knew right away what was causing the symptom.

When I had the tired feeling hit I decided to take my Iodine at 10pm and that knocked me out for 4 weeks so that I had sound sleep. Now I can't sleep at night so have to take the Iodine during the day.
