After the typical "Goodnight" exterior house scene, we see the Walton's dark living room. As Olivia and John sing "There's an Old Spinning Wheel in the Parlor" upstairs in bed, the camera slowly moves around the empty living room until we see Martha's spinning wheel in the corner. After Olivia and John finish singing, the scene fades to black.
