We left a potful of rice for two extra hours on the stove, without any burning.
It was on low heat (#2), mind you, and in a pot that self seals on low temperatures...seven layers of metal on the bottom including two of silver. But, we have destroyed a couple of these pots in the past, by letting them run dry...probably on higher heat.
This pot of rice was just barely stuck to the bottom when we arrived home, though it could be moved with a spoon, and the very bottom of the rice was slightly golden...entirely edible...no hard pieces.
Perhaps this is only a testimonial for the capability of the pot, though we wouldn't have expected it from our use of them over the ten years we have used them exclusively.
But, I wonder if my simple 'intending' was effective.
Certainly not an incident for Ripley's, Believe it or Not, but very encouraging.
In the article linked by 82374, I see the suggestion that well-being needs to be reinforced against trauma...as long as trauma is seen as possible.
Or, in a more positive light, well-being is our legacy, as long as we don't let anything or anyone talk us out of it.
As long as we 'know' well-being is ours, everyones, no matter what, we continue to be well. In fact, we do continue to be well for eternity, in any case...though we may think ourselves into unhappiness while we are individuals, here.
(I read Kubler-Ross when I was quite young. See where that kind of realization can take a person?)
