this sounds weird but I used to sleep holding the girl I was dating when dating them..then I went through a time where I would sleep with my back towards them sometimes with their arms around me..though when i wake up I think I sub-consciously push their arms away and end up with my back towards them again facing the opposite direction. when I was a little boy I used to sleep hugging my mom..when I had my heart broken horribly with my first true love,I couldn't bring myself to hold another girl to sleep ever again..I am not sure if it's the fear of them not being there when I awaken or if its the fear of becoming too attached to them.
