yes, i usually just spit and reloaded. i also usually brushed my teeth before starting.

i have never been bothered with the produce of the pull. it was already there to begin with. spit it out and youre fine. i dont know of anyone being harmed by accidentally swallowing some, either. yes, this includes myself. spewing it is a different matter. i can start to stink if you dont clean it up.
