Lovey, something comes to my mind. I lost 130 pounds 12 yrs ago trying to keep my husband alive after a major heart attack with us in our 40s. Stopping the fats, eating vegan brought my weight down to the smallest I'd been since I was 12 yrs old, but in the long run, I lost my health and can tell you 2 things that turned me around.
#1. Some of us seem to be more susceptable to mucus forming foods ... do we have very tiny villae? Maybe. Mucus from foods lining my digestive tract keeps me from getting the liquid nutrition into my blood stream that is the building blocks for my body. Dr John R Christopher, the grandfather of American herbology and founder of the School of Natural Healing has a good article on mucusless diet, read it here:

and his article on the colon, and not just cleansing it, but healing it:

#2. My 2nd thought is how well my body - alligator dry skin and saggy skin, is responding to plant fats. Each morning, I take unrefined, cold-pressed omega 3 oil, 1 tablespoon ... after work, i take coconut oil ... at bedtime, I take a liquid lecithin/EVOO oil. My shine has come back to my hair, there is a regained luster to my skin, my wrinkles are evening out. A guy at work told me that in the last 2 yrs, I now look 15 yrs younger. I wasn't wasting, I had severe liver dysfunction, but some of the same symptoms you're displaying.
