Most likely a Selenium deficiency due to the massive Mercury detox from Iodine.

I can't vouch for that but my prior posts on what happened once Iodine was inroduced point to Iodine being the trigger not other minerals.

But there is no point arguing, if you want to find negative iodine articles you just need to go to any med db.
