I know it sounds like it couldn't be, but it is. I have always had loose bowels, all my life, and although earlier there were times I had only one bowel movement per day, after I started iodine, it cut down to two and then one. I had to up my magnesium to more than triple what I had been taking over the years before iodine. I have been on Iodine for six months now, and I do what I have to do to increase my bowel movements. I have only improved my diet during the time on iodine.
I also have drying of the eyes and mouth since I started iodine. Did not have before. It comes and goes. I just increase my liquids and take lots of Vitamin A. I keep my eye on the goal and don't let it affect my Iodine intake.
Sorry to say but it's true. I think a couple of other people have complained about it constipating them as well. Maybe it's the metals or whatever coming out that does the constipating--as I am saying constipating, that is not the right word. Iodine just does not let me have the number of bowel movements I need to have so as not to have detox symptoms. I have been on really high doses, usually 30-50 drops, depending on what I feel like that day, with about one day a week break at this time.
I am the one who got off my medications, so it can't be that.
I could be a little offended to think that what is happening to my body and I am sure is happening to my body is what you say cannot be happening because iodine does not work that way. Apparently it is working that way in my body.
What else do you think might be happening?
