Just my opinion, but I think that children who have been thrilled by the messages in the Chronicles of Narnia are by and large better off for it.  I read them to mine and will do so for my grandkids if any come along.

Personally, I cherish the book.  And I think that at some point we have to stop and realize that if we want to get hardcore enough and take every word in the oft changed, many times translated and man written Bible literally (or more often, the way WE choose to interpret it) we could pick apart and condemn just about everything.

By the standards of the Old Testament (which I have some issues with taking too literally), Jesus could be condemned as a servant of Satan.  And he pretty much is by some of those who reject the New Testament (see the Talmud).

I have a hard time even looking at a site that says JFK went to hell for accepting the Roman whore! (Besides, I was thinking more of it being the midnight swims with Marilyn)

But then I loved Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings - and the hardcases have had at them with quite the lasting fury.  The can continue to have at them all they want and I will not change my mind about thoroughly enjoying them.  Sometimes a person can get so uptight that they can scarcely breath or accept anything outside your own narrow perception wihthout shrill protest and I do not think that is right.  Having strong core beliefs is wonderful, but I think you can hold to your beliefs and still enjoy life out amongst 'em without being corrupted - and without condemning everyone who shows any admiration for Buddha or is a gentle soul who believes in the powers of crystals as some kind of servant of satan.

It has been estimated that the true servants ot the satan worshipping Illuminati are perhaps 20,000 to 30,000 strong worldwide.  The world has 6.5 BILLION people and I think that looking at the world and the Otherwordly in such a way as to condemn 6.3 Billion of them serves no good for us as individuals of for mankind in general.  Better by far to realize who the truly evil core group are and what they are doing.

And, while remaining vigilant, also not being so rigid to the point of not being able to stop and smell the roses and enjoy life a bit no matter what.

Maybe this will help:
