This may be exactly what ML is trying to relate...

Stop apologizing for ML.  If he has an idea that he wants to convey he should do so. 

You can squint, turn your head upside down, blur your eyes or drink a bottle of rum and manage to reinterpret what ML writes.  However what he means is very clear and very wrong.  EM energy is radiation.  This is not a question of semantics.
