Honey, I think I love you already! :-)

I'm going to tell you a little story you and others might find entertaining...

I've been a card carrying member of the Texas GOP since 1980, captivated by Ronald Reagan's economic and defense policies, plus his openly pro-life conservative Christian worldview. I was even a member of the Christian Coalition. I became my precinct's captain for the party and was elected to a seat at the state GOP convention twice, for which I was very proud. I've worked on too many candidates' campaigns to name, helped send George and Laura to Washington to kick the Democrats' backsides, and helped the GOP sweep the Texas legislature over the past 6-8 years. I was a dittohead, and when Michael Moore wanted to show his Farenheight 911 movie in Crawford, Texas in August 2004, a good friend of mine and I organized a pro-Bush rally there in Crawford which swept the international media, drew a crowd of over 1000 people, and launched the Bush/Cheney '04 fall campaign push nationwide. To call someone a Democrat was my greatest insult. I would NEVER, over my dead body, vote for a Democrat!

However, that same summer I did Dr. Richard Schulze 's Incurables Program for a "disease" the medical community has no answers for, found Curezone, and posted my experience on the Schulze Forum . I cut my teeth on naturopathic medicine there and remain a proponent of it to this day. As I became comfortable with the people there, I explored other forums, and somehow, in 2005, began to hang out on the Conspiracy forum. Imagine a girl with my background hanging out with a group of male Conspiracy theorists! I took them on, too! Boy did I get flamed!

One of the guys I remember from back then was DQ. I couldn't ever respond to anything he wrote. He was about the leftist person I had ever run across! We were about as far as the east is from the west politically! But at the same time, I was very curious as to how the other side lived. :-) So I started reading, posting, and getting slammed to the floor on a regular basis.

There were two guys that had mercy on me. One gave me a link to a libertarian guy in Austin who was exposing the motives behind the Trans Texas Corridor (Alex Jones of
http://www.prisonplanet.com).
I hadn't ever heard of this (2005) but the issue became my entry into Conspiracy theory. (This does have something to do with the political forum, so hang tight...) Well, Alice had just followed the White Rabbit down his hole and she hasn't come out yet!

Soon after I had a lot of "life" happen and I left Curezone. When I came back this past summer, I had learned enough about conspiracy theory to know the two political parties were two flavors of the same ice cream company. I had become so disappointed in the candidates I had worked for, and realized I had been used and lied to- played, just like a bad boyfriend. So for the first time in my life, I considered a Democrat candidate and voted for her because she was clearly the better candidate for the race she sought.

I found out DQ was not only planning to vote for Ron Paul, but was working on his campaign, as were several of the folks I had branded as leftist liberal commie environmentalist wackos. This blew me out of the water. Being in the Texas GOP state delegation, I of course knew about, and had met Ron Paul. But by this time in my life, it didn't matter what party Paul was in. He was/is a Constitutionalist (among other things), and has been consistently one of maybe two Congressmen with enough testosterone to lay it on the line about our country's future, for the Congressional record. The other candidates are preaching insanity, imho.

Anyway, after I had voted for a Democrat, lightening didn't strike me, and I got over my shock that DQ was gunning for GOP candidate Ron Paul, I was open and ready to begin REALLY learning about the Grand Conspiracy. A dear friend kinda took the lead on this, but many others have contributed. When I started to open my eyes and really wake up to what's going on and has been going on for a very long time, I started to see that the men and women I had labeled and shunned a couple of years ago are actually some of the biggest hearted, most passionate, caring and loving people I have come to know, either IRL or otherwise.

So Speedy, even though you might disagree with me, you and I are very much alike. :-D I hope you'll open up and ask a bunch of questions, and risk looking like an idiot like I do a lot of times. Over time, if you do, you'll see that the parties are neither red nor blue, and that not all radical religious right wing greedy white racist war-mongering nut jobs are that bad. And I can keep a secret about you voting in the GOP primary. ;-)
