Hello,
I've had difficulty breathing for many years now, but it only became noticeable maybe 5 years after my hernia operation.
It is difficult to fully inhale, when I do, there is a tightness or pressure against my upper midsection, just above and around the top of the scar.
In reading about tension repair methods of hernia surgery, the stretching of muscles seemed as though it could lead to problems of this nature, but I haven't found much to support that. I'm also not even sure it was a tension repair, as I was 8 years old ( 12 years ago). But the long scar and timeframe and vague recollection lead me to believe that.
Do you have any thoughts on this surgery leading to these kinds of complications (tightness in area of operation)?
Also, could a tension repair be undone, to allow for a new, better method instead?

Thanks for reading.
