Yes, I agree with you completely about toxins causing the sex hormone receptors to get hinky, over-sensitive, and "crazy"-- which can be the case in the actual organs such as the breast, ovaries, and uterus. Too bad men haven't been as well-studied.

Iodine "down-regulates" the receptors and normalizes them, according to Dr. Eskin. I'm sure the sex hormone in the brain are equally effected. But a transient drop in libido appears to be bromide as it was used historically and observed as a side effect of bromide drugs.

I agree, we don't really know what a "normal" sex drive is, given our current state of stealth bromide exposure, and stupid media promotion of what sexuality is.

Also, when people report changes in libido with bromide, I gather that can go either way. We need somebody to just keep track of libido changes.
