But that's because most would term me "old fahioned" and "out of touch with reality".  But a woman whose husband works two jobs so that she can stay home and properly raise her children, and she goes out to bars and stays out all night!?!?!?!?   Never mind the husband, what kind of example is that for her chldren?

I can understand her husband holding the door so she would not leave to go to a bar, but calling the police over that?  Oh yeah, that put up red flags to me, because I have seen way too many women abuse their husbands this way, get them  in trouble with the authorities because they know that police and courts always suspect and penalize a man first, so they take advantage of the situation to furher manipulate, humiliate and destroy the man.  And BTW, his constant "I did't hit her" sounded to me like the truthful and scared little boy that he is.

Asking HIM to give her the number on the napkin...how cheap!!

Poor guy, it's obvious he never learned anything about true and healthy love from his family, and even negative attention  is better than none.   He will obviously never improve his lot around his trashy wife and real improvement will come when he has understood that and broken loose of her and any other persons like that in his future.   How very sad for the little children.

You're obvioulsly a good friend Mamma, but unfortunately there isn't a whole lot more you can do than what you are doing already, being there to listen and genty guide.   Send prayers his way and ecourage him to seek the spiritual dimension.

One more sad story.....and there are so many these days (sigh)
