Yeah, that is the big choice! You either choose to live long and watch your loved ones die, or die with them. The path may be flawed in your case.
Personally I like being alone, so it works out ok. I have a hard time sympathising with those who go on the medications and eat badly, that is what seems extreme to me. Drugs and operations are extreme in my view. When I watch them deteriorate it just makes me want to go to the opposite way.
