Once you switch to wet food, if it is not raw, you have to watch out for their teeth, as they will need to be brushed more.

Google Feline Instincts. They make a supplement that you mix in with raw meat that is really good (and they include salmon oil to mix in with it too). They also have a renal formula that kept my kitty going strong until she was 20, in spite of weakening kidneys.
