i was already hypothyroid with wilsons(cold body) syndrome. this meant i was already dysfunctional in utilizing Iodine in the body. my body was full of the other halogens and was not able to hold on to iodine. when i flooded my body with it, i not only didnt hang on to any of what i took, but it also flushed what little Iodine i had out with it. this is a known (but rare) occurrance discovered by the Iodine project. i was suffering from bone chilling cold that no one could understand how intense it was. my suffering was incredible. the iodine made me even colder. it was a nightmare. what made it worse was that i didnt understand why. all i could conclude at the time was to stop taking the KI. that was a mistake born of ignorance and it would be years later that i would rediscover iodine.
