Issue 6, July 2006 Newsletter discussing the problems of bromide relative to hearing problems is an excellent one.

An older male patient, who had been taking 2 Iodoral a day, had scheduled an appointment with his hearing doctor to get a hearing aid. He particularly had trouble hearing the lower frequency range.

Then, he went up to three Iodoral a day. He subsequently was able to cancel his hearing aid appointment and saved thousands of dollars.

It was thought that he had a thyroid problem, but the studies suggest that the Iodine may have just detoxed the bromide and facilitated normal Iodine metabolism.
