The kicker is that Morales completely botched Torrie's mouth too, and she still referred people to him. Now she's out the $30,000 he owes her for referrals, plus the cost of fixing his botched dental work etc... And since Morales is in Mexico she probably can't sue him for any of it, just like the patients can't sue him. But Torrie is in the US, which makes her an easier legal target than Morales, if any of those patients decide to persue legal action. Karma.
