-EDIT- I realized this was the wrong forum for this, sorry, and couldn't find a way to delete it. Reposted at Gynecological / Female Problems.
Hey, I haven't really gotten my period in 6 months (NO there is no chance that I'm pregnant) and I'm starting to worry. I run track in the spring, and I lost my period around March. That makes total sense to me - I've lost my period before during that time because I work my body very hard then. However, track has been over since June, and I still haven't really gotten my period. I had a really light period in July, but that barely counts to me, it was so light.
I hear that amenorrhea is often associated with not weighing enough, but I really don't think I'm that thin. I'm 5'7" 125 lbs. Recently I've been trying to eat more in hopes of getting my period. (I also tried eating more back in June/July, and I did get that really light period, so maybe it helps.) I don't exercise that much either. I got an injury from track, so I haven't been able to exercise a whole lot - so I know I'm not overexercising. I'm not stressed much either, which I've heard can be another contributing factor. Maybe a little more now that I'm in school again, but certainly not during the summer.
I really don't mind not having my period, but I know that's not natural. However, is it really a problem? Like, does it have detrimental effects on the rest of your body? I feel really healthy minus this issue, so is it really something to worry about? if so, any suggestions on how to get it back? THANKS A TON :)
