Hi Ikota.

I did a dry fast for three days then merged into a water fast. I posted in the Fasting : water forum. I was told that it was dangerous and could cause damage to the organs ect.

I had done some research and what I learned was that day 4 was considered a critical juncture ( point of no return). Not sure if the literature I read was talking about organ failure or what not. I have read that some very experienced people have dry fasted for 7-14 days, but there have been cases where people have died on less than that. I took a graduate physiology course, and in it we were taught the human body could not survive beyond 5 days without water and 50 - or 60 days without food. New theories point to the fact that nutrient reserves and levels of hydration and fitness of the human and the diet the individual maintained may or can alter those estimates. Needless to say I believe it can be risky and one should not compromise their health for experimental sake. If you were to try this , you should consider very close medical monitoring of blood ,kidney hydration etc by a medical professional.

Yes I experienced the heat you mentioned.. Parts of my anatomy were very warm , almost like inflammation, but the tissue was healthy. What is interesting to me is that after I merged into Water Fasting I never experienced the cold chills that most water fasters report.

IF you have any new information or the information that you are talking about , I would be interested in reading it. Maybe you would care to post it.

I hope you post your fasting dry or water to the board, it would be interesting to follow.

Good luck to you.
