I certainly agree that it is time to stop putting these bits of plastic with fake hormones into our bodies. I have tried IMPLANON, and it was worse than mirena. I had implanon in for only 4 weeks. I begged the doctor to take it out because I thought I was going mad. If you are at all sensitive to ANY forms of hormonal birth control DO NOT USE IMPLANON!!!! I am obviously sensitive to all of these things, so I will not use any of them, or anything like them ever again. However I have to say that both my sister and one of my friends both have implanon and find it to be fantastic. My sister is on her second implanon and loves the fact that she never has a period. She has gained a fair amount of weight though. My friend loved implanon for about 2 years, then she fell pregnant and had a miscarriage, which was blamed on the implanon. She also gained alot of weight.

Of course the final decision is up to you but please read everything on here carefully, and take into consideration the fact that if you have been sensitive to another form of birth control, you may have a higher than normal chance of having problems with other forms. Good luck!!
