Man, that is a tough combo of issues! Yes, I guess I would rather have to deal with candida and diabetes instead of candida and hypo. I'm sorry :(

But, to make you feel better, it does have its own set of frustrations. For instance, when my candida is under good control, my blood sugars plummet, and it can happen in an instant, at which point I have to eat Sugar to get my bs back up, which does sometimes set me back, but not always (depends on where I am in my menstrual cycle - when at menses, my candida still flares up and it can get bad, but other times, I now feel normal). I also am very intrigued to see where my diabetes lands after I get completely well from candida. I have this theory that candida caused my type 1 diabetes in the first place, and I find it interesting that when candida is well-controlled, my insulin requirements become practically negligible no matter what I eat and I am always lowering, lowering, lowering my pump settings, but when in a flare, my insulin needs skyrocket. There is a connection of some sort.

I would be very intrested in any progress they make on this "opposite of diabetes" diagnosis. Diabetes seems to be a funny illness that can sometimes take strange forms. I am always hearing of little stories of people diagnosed with it and then it goes away, or was something else, or was this odd rare form, much like your story. I don't think diabetes is nearly as cut and dried as they like to present it as being.
