Not in the least bit.  It add tremendous support to the power of what is called the placebo effect is the biggest healer on the planet.  It's been going on for thousands of years.  The original post in this thread conveniently buried that information but statistically, the 'fake' acupuncture did just as well as the 'real' acupuncture.

It's time to validate the healing powers of the mind (really the spirit) through whichever path you wish to take, be it meditation, touch therapy, or many other facets.
